The Samsung Galaxy Tab packs a capacitive screen, which rules out the possibility of using a normal stylus for handling the touch screen. But that is not the case anymore, as BoxWave brings in the new stylus designed specially for the capacitive screen. The stylus, integrated with a pen, not only helps people who are apprehensive of using their fingers on the touch device but also brings in the old style of jotting down notes and tasks in the conventional paper or notepad.
Key Features:
Works with all capacitive touch screens which increases the usage scope to not only the Samsung Galaxy tab but any other capacitive response screen.
The stylus is sized appropriately making it just like a pen that can be carried in your pockets. This makes it more desirable as it is compact.
The stylus makes it a perfect add-on for a cold winter day when you don't have to remove your gloves to type into the device.
Having a pen built into the stylus makes it perfect for taking paper notes.
The stylus is available in two different colours - black and white.
Advantages:
The size and form factor acts as one of the best advantages of this stylus. Being no more than the size of a pen, it can be carried by ladies and gents equally making it an easy fit at just about any place. The stylus also makes it easier for people to type in notes using the new Swype mode available in the Samsung Galaxy tab. Having an integrated pen in the stylus makes it one of the best accessories to own. Also the stylus is compatible with other touch capacitive touch screen devices making it multi-device compatible.
Disadvantages:
Even though it helps people to type in cold weather, it removes the human element involved with capacitive screens and considerably slows down the amount of time involved in typing a sentence. Although the design is similar to a pen, the Galaxy tab doesn't have a holder bay for the stylus.
Final Thoughts:
The BoxWave capacitive Styra not only helps in improving the overall experience of a Samsung Galaxy tab, but also helps in delivering ease of use to its customers. The responsiveness of capacitive screens to human fingers is one of the best interactive technologies but now with the introduction of the capacitive Styra, the interaction is taken to a whole new level and greatly helps people who are apprehensive of using a touch screen device.
